I purchased this dvd player almost 2 months ago, and am very happy with my purchace.It has a great picture, good optics, good sound, but depending if there are loud noises, you may need headphones. I used my walkman headphones,and they worked just fine. I have a friend with a no name brand, and you can't basically hear it without external speakers, so this was a concern for me.
