Live and Let Die
With DR. NO the first of the James Bond films director Terence Young and leading man Sean Connery set the precedent for what would become one of the most popular influential and long-lasting series ever made. Bond makes his first famous introduction "Bond James Bond" in an upscale casino to a saucy brunette named Slyvia Trench (Eunice Gayson) who he promptly coaxes into a dinner date. Back at Secret Service Headquarters M (Bernard Lee) assigns Bond to a mission in Jamaica. An agent who was investigating strange...

Live & Let Die
A strong case could be made for Live and Let Die as Kool G Rap & DJ Polo's crowning achievement. Who can really say for sure if the controversy surrounding the cover artwork, which shows the duo feeding steaks to a pair of rottweilers, in front of two noose-necked white men, clouded a proper consensus? The artwork could have been even more graphic according to the liner notes by legendary Photography/Art Director George DuBose. With across-the-board stellar production help from Sir Jinx and Trakmasterz...

Live and Let Die
"Live and Let Die" is the ninth James Bond picture, and not exactly the best. It has all the necessary girls, gimmicks, subterranean control rooms, uniformed goons and magic wristwatches it can hold, but it doesn't have the wit and it doesn't have the style of the best Bond movies...This may have something to do with the substitution of Roger Moore for Sean Connery as 007. Moore has the superficial attributes for the job: The urbanity, the quizzically raised eyebrow, the calm under fire and in bed...

Live and Let Die
Roger Moore makes a spectacular debut as 007, now out to smash the plans of Caribbean crime kingpin Yaphet Kotto to take over the U.S. by flooding it with heroin. Wild boat chases, voodoo priests and a bikini-clad Jane Seymour as tarot-dealing love interest Solitaire, not to mention Paul McCartney's smashing title tune, highlight this 8th entry in the Bond film saga. With a supporting cast that also includes Geoffrey Holder and Julius Harris, this is one of the best in the entire series. Bonus features...

Live and Let Die
Ian Fleming was born in 1908 and educated at Eton. After a brief period at the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst he went abroad to further his education. In 1931, having failed to get an appointment in the Foreign Office, he joined Reuters News Agency. During the Second World War he was Personal Assistant to the Director of Naval Intelligence at the Admiralty, rising to the rank of Commander. His wartime experiences provided him with a first-hand knowledge of secret operations. After the war he...

Live and Let Die
Beautiful, fortune-telling Solitaire is the prisoner (and tool) of Mr. Big, master of fear, artist in crime, and Voodoo Baron of Death. James Bond has no time for superstition; he knows that this criminal heavy hitter is also a top SMERSH operative and a real threat. More than that, after tracking him through the jazz joints of Harlem, to the everglades and on to the Caribbean, 007 has realized that Big is one of the most dangerous men that he has ever faced. And no one, not even the mysterious Solitaire...

Live and Let Die
Those Mr. Big cannot possess he crushes; those who cross him will meet painful ends, like his beautiful prisoner, Solitaire, and her lover, James Bond. Both are marked as victims in a trail of treachery that leads from New York's black underworld to the dark secrets of the island in the sun that Mr. Big calls his own. Voodoo, sharks, barracuda, time bombs, harpoon guns, torture, and terror are the ingredients for a scalding brew that reaches the boiling point in an eruption of violence.

Live and Let Die
Moore's first outing as 007 takes us on an excursion to the Caribbean where he unearths a heroin ring masterminded by Kotto. The tropical climate allows for ample unveiling of female décolletage, principally Seymour, and the usual bevy of would-be starlets. Perhaps not the best of the Bond series, but certainly worth a look for anyone interested in a capable action-adventure flick. (Sequel: The Man with the Golden Gun )

LIVE AND LET DIE
A great arrangement of the great tune written by the ex-Beatle. This chart was the reason for the great success of recording 7.5 on the Richter Scale. Melody stated by alto, trumpet and trombone and the chart roars on! If you're looking for a contemporary chart, written for this great band and based on a well known tune, this is the one. We get a lot of requests for this arrangement.

Just before its edges shut out the blackness below, Bond heard one terrible snuffling grunt as if a great pig was getting its mouth full. He knew it for the grunt that a shark makes as its hideous flat nose comes up out of the water and its sickle-shaped mouth closes on a floating carcass." — from the book
