When Elvis--here a Navajo bronc rider--comes home from the rodeo circuit, he brings a load of trouble home with him. Practical joking high schoolers get the surprise of their lives when the target of their latest prank turns out to have a dark secret, and they reawaken the demons of her past. A classic 1980s slasher film, director Douglas Grossman's HELL HIGH contains ample conventions of the genre, including clueless teenagers, an evil teacher, a remote location, and plenty of gratuitous nudity.

In STEEL MAGNOLIAS, which, like this film, stars Sally Field, one of the characters says, "Laughter through tears is my favorite emotion." Like that tearjerker, TWO WEEKS is a bittersweet film that manages to make the audience alternately laugh and cry.
