Perhaps following on the success of the Star Trek DVD series, A&E Video has released two volumes (twelve episodes) of the early 70's sci-fi epic Space: 1999. Sci-fi fans should delight in this new look at the old classic. The video transfer (from the original 35mm, according to the liner notes) is excellent, but the old screechy music you remember from the show is unfortunately left as-is.
