The Harry Winrob Collection of Inuit Art
As a doctor, Harry Winrob was fascinated by bone sculpture and collected works in whalebone, bone, and antler. The Winrob Collection, donated to the Gallery as a legacy, contains the most significant assemblage of sculpture created from these materials, which due to declining availability, makes such sculptures quite rare.
