Chris Calle: Beach Volleyball
Spectators at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia, witnessed the introduction of beach volleyball to the Olympic program. William G. Morgan, a physical education director in Holyoke, Massachusetts, invented the standard six-player game in 1895 and the sport spread quickly in popularity.
