This lamp is pretty and perfect for my work table, with a graceful quality. It is well balanced both artistically and mechanically. I love that I can adjust it below eye level, to shine directly on my reading or paperwork. A couple things bug me about the cord, though. The BRIGHT yellow color makes no sense. The lamp is just great! The design, the construction, the material... all are top quality. You must see it in-person to really appreciate the quality of this lamp. One suggestion. If you want to get best out of this lamp, use full-spectrum light bulbs. The quality of light that comes from a full spectrum is beyond all other standard bulbs. The overall effect is just so pleasant. I bought 2 of this Architect lamps... And now that the winter is cold and dark, I don't even care if I don't go outside...
