We found this to be a good, solid set. We have had a few pieces break, but our boys play roughly with them. The pieces were easily fixed with wood glue. We were impressed with the overall value of the set. Buying all these components from The Learning Curve (Thomas) would have been very expensive. Everything here works well with the Thomas set. I even like this roundhouse better than the Thomas one. The trains that come with this set are nice, too. We were pleased with this purchase.

Thomas Wooden Railway Race to the Wharf Set
Big enough for 2 three year olds, but because it goes up two levels, it tips easy when constructed on both carpet and hardwood floors. The boys move the track enough durning play, that the track falls done. I think it might be better on a train table. After 1 1/2 of hearing "Dad, the track fell down, fix it" I've removed the tall section and rebuilt the track so it only rises 1 level. Since then, I rarely get called to fix it.
