Supremely quirky and eclectic, this music represents their goal to create the "unheard sound", noises that emanate from the speakers during the actual recording process. Musically this sounds like jazz rock given a good stir by BOARDS OF CANADA or APHEX TWIN. (JAZZLAND)

Playmachine
Led by Norwegian saxophonist Hakon Kornstad, one of the most talented musicians of his generation, Wibutee have been, since Newborn Things, their first album released in 1999, merged jazz and electronica to create something totally unique. Playmachine is their 3rd and most accomplished album. Japanese pressing adds the bonus track 'Playmachine' remixed by Sternklang. 2004.

Out last year from Norway's JAZZLAND RECORDS this is a hard record to describe. Straight No Chaser called them a "drum & jazz" band. I don't know what to call them but I love their mix of live jazz, emotive female vocals, and modern production (by label boss BUGGE WESSELTOFT).
