A hilarious, highly original collection of essays based on the Botswana truism: "only food runs!"In the tradition of Bill Bryson, a new writer brings us the lively adventures and biting wit of an African safari guide. Peter Allison gives us the guide's-eye view of living in the bush, confronting the world's fiercest terrain of wild animals and, most challenging of all, managing herds of gaping tourists. Passionate for the animals of the Kalahari, Allison works as a top safari guide in the wildlife-rich Okavango Delta. As he serves the whims of his wealthy clients, he often has to stop the impulse to run as far away from them as he can, as these tourists are sometimes more dangerous than a pride of lions. No one could make up these outrageous-but-true tales: the young woman who rejected the recommended safari-friendly khaki to wear a more "fashionable" hot pink ensemble; the lost tourist who happened to be drunk, half-naked, and a member of the British royal family; establishing a real friendship with the ...

At age 28 the author was involved in a head-on colllision without a seat belt. Following a three-month coma, he was forced to relearn every motor skill, beginning with holding his own head up. The book explains the principles of success he learned in order to have a full recovery. These principles will help all who need or want to achieve a goal or overcome underachiever syndrome.

Peter Allison - like an affable, younger David Attenborough or a slightly more laid-back Steve Irwin - really knows his wildlife. He's had some extraordinary, once-in-a-lifetime experiences. From close encounters with hungry lions, cranky elephants and over-protective honey badgers, there's not much in the African bush that Peter hasn't seen, done or been chased by. His affection for these wild and dangerous animals and his fascination with, and respect for, their often extraordinary behaviour is...

Used - In Africa "only food runs...and there's nothing you can outrun!" In the tradition of Bill Bryson, a new writer brings us the lively adventures and wit of an African safari guide. Despite that fact that "I had none of the qualities you would expect of a rugged bush man...I'm markedly uncoordinated, can't repair vehicles or understand how they work, I don't like guns, and sweat profusely when nervous or excited..which is exactly how watching animals makes me feel", Peter Allison works as a

Whatever You Know You Know You Don't
This album isn't as good as Second and Eighteen, mostly because it doesn't have any stand out singles or as entertaining lyrics. That being said, I still love the cd, it's very high quality and if they were to put out a new cd tomorrow, I would buy it without any hesitation. Also, for Rock Band fans out there, Entangled is being released as a 99cent single. :)
