If you have just started the sport you really want to use a head that will be easy for you to catch the ball. The images above are relevant for this theory as well. Basically, the head on the left is much harder to negotiate the ball in to, so you really want to get your hand eye coordination down with a stick like the one on the right. In addition, if you are unsure you want to play lacrosse for good, just start with a lacrosse beginner stick like the AV8 and it wont be too hard on the wallet!
