We use a malted belgian waffle mix, this makes a good waffle great. We have had this for about a year and with no problems. I feel the Waring Belgian Waffle Maker is the best bang for your buck. BTW we fold in two beaten egg whites and a teaspoon of vanilla to the mix YUM.
