A figural mold blown glass Christmas ornament in the shape of a windmill, 2-3/4" high. It's decorated in yellow, green and blue with windows, doors, shingled dome roof, and crossed arms. There's a darker spot at the back caused by loss of the inner silvering and a few flecks of snow flocking at the base, otherwise it's in excellent condition. The metal cap is unmarked but likely made in 1950s West Germany.

With the spool itself measuring 2.25" in length, this makes for a hefty little carving! Santa's burgundy cap falls to one side and the pompom can just barely be seen to the side in the photo. His grooved beard makes for a very cute Santa you will enjoy showing off. The antiquing stain took unevenly to the spool, probably due to the age of the wood. It feels like a piece that has been around for a while and well loved.

Glass ball ornament features "A famous holiday cover from the Saturday Evening Post - Post Cover: December 29, 1956." by Norman Rockwell entitled "Bottom Drawer." Shows a small boy in pajamas digging through his parents dresser drawers. Seems that Santa left his suit behind when he went home to the North Pole after Christmas! Ornament is mint. Box is very good, showing a bit of wear on the edges and having a slight crease down the back. Price tag is present and intact.
