Grand Riserva 1995 is still one of the best Ribera del Duero. Only the 2004 vintage is as good as the 1995. Grand Riserva means that it has been aged in barriques for 4 years. You need a strong wine to stay 4 years in a barrique, but Valduero can do this because of Tempranillo. This wine can still be kept 4 or 5 years in a good cellar, but it drinks very well now.

Valduero returns with a roar after a couple years absence from the US. This family-owned winery is one of top small producers in Ribera del Duero.
