I purchased the twin draft guard for putting a stop to hot air from upping my electric bill. Since i have a heavy metal door, drilling a strip was not viable, so the twin draft guard seemed an appropriate solution. After being in place for 2 months, my electric bill has dropped $ per month and also prevented pollen and bugs from being a nuisance. It has already paid for itself. I ordered two twin draft guards in October of 2009. When they arrived I was a little surprised. One unit was ripped open all the way down the bag and smelled musty like mildew. The second unit was sealed but when opened also smelled very chemically. The inserts are two thin white styrofoam tubes.
