Like some other reviewers, I was disappointed at first that this book was a series of letters. The disappointment didn't last long. Delightful book and main character! Great story and interesting historical lesson.

What a satisfying book! Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society imediately hit the most important note for me, I loved the characters! I found myself caring passionately about Juliet, Sydney, Elizabeth and all the rest. The breezy, fun style made it an easy book to fly through, but given the subject matter (WWII) this book is definately not fluff. I enjoyed reading a very different perspective and voice on the war. Using letters to tell the story helped to lighten the tone, you don't have to...
