There is a good deal of depth and plenty of pieces to this very rich and fully packed wine, and, while long on succulent fruit and sporting lots of very rich oak, it currently comes across as just a bit youthfully simple. Its sweetness is presently juxtaposed with a bit of tart acidity at the finish, but there is no doubting its depth or its ability to age into better, and it needs a year or two before showing its best.
