Ted was a fierce and rough competitor, earning him the nickname “Terrible Ted”, but it was the combination of his grit and offensive talent that made his career so impressive. Ted’s incredible leadership as captain of the Red Wings helped lead to 3 Stanley Cups in the 1950’s, something that would not be seen again in Detroit for another 42 years.

Outstanding, decadent & quite hard-to-get. Seductive French oak, very ripe, low acid, opulent and creamy, 40 second finish. 100% Cab Sauv from below the Mayacamas, just north of the Rutherford Bench. Drinking well now with a 20 minute decant. This is a very special wine.
