You are supposed to hit any key to wake it up. When it wakes up, the buttons work, but the optical doesn't turn back on, so you can click, but not track, which is kind of a deal breaker. I have to take the batteries out every time to reset it. Other Thoughts: I e-mailed targus about fixing this issue...
