These are my favorite yarn swifts. Beautifully finished, and the threads on the two bolts are very well done and clean. The medium size is said to hold up to a 60" circumference skein, but the way I measure it, I can get a 70" circumference hank of yarn on it. I've set this one up in the store. How It Works - This unit generates a unique and distinctive diamond-shaped patterned ball as a result of its complex rotation. Two things must happen at the same time in order to wind a perfect ball. The whole drive wheel assembly must rotate as the crank is turned and it must also smoothly revolve on the clear plastic drive cone.
