An Heirloom variety that closely resembles the original sweet pea. ‘Matucana’ has unusual purple and violet bicolour blooms that are produced continuously all summer. Considered one of the most fragrant sweet peas, its scent is indescribably strong and sweet. Flowers are smaller than most modern varieties. Height 2m (80"). Approximately 25 seeds/package.

Sow Sweet Pea seeds as early as the soil can be worked. Plant Sweet Pea seeds in full sun to partial shade ½" deep and 2" apart, cover with loose soil. Keep seeds moderately moist during germination and do not let dry out. Sweet Pea seedlings emerge in 5-15 days. Thin 6" apart when seedlings are 3" tall.
