Quick Blood Stopper is recommended for nail and beak trimming. It is not to be used on open flesh wounds. Simply apply the powder with a moistened cotton-tipped applicator to the area being treated and apply moderate pressure for five to ten seconds. Bleeding should abate. If it continues, consult your vet.
Apply a liberal amount onto wound. Place moist finger over opened vial and dab powder on nick or cut. Moisten with a cotton swab with water (not saliva!) and dip into powder, then onto wound. Once bleeding stops (usually within 10 minutes) wash the styptic powder out of wound.
Directions: Apply a pinch of styptic powder to the bleeding area, using moderate pressure until bleeding stops. Do not use in deep wounds, body cavities or burns, If bleeding does not stop, consult a veterinarian.
