While in the Air Force studying Mechanical engineering, he learnt a lot about metals & working with them, using the gas & oxygen torch. He started his artistic carrier, living as a gypsy, selling his work around Southern Africa. He got involved with sculpting, which is now his greatest passion. He uses Brass a lot. "I love it, its warm & reasonably easy to work with". He's also travelled abroad marketing his work in Europe & England.
