It is a large fruited, pink skinned, banana shaped squash. The golden flesh is soft, sweet and delicious roasted or made into a warming autumn pie. Once picked, the squashes will store for several weeks in a cool, frost free place. Very easy to grow.

Cucuzzi is also known as calabash, suzza melon, zucca, Italian edible gourd, Tasmania bean, Guinea bean, New Guinea bean, Hercules War Club, and white flowered gourd. It is called both a squash and gourd. At maturity it grows into a long hard-shelled gourd on a long, trailing vine. It is normally harvested when 8-12" long, and it is used like regular summer squash. Enjoy baked, grilled, raw, frozen, and pickled. It can also be dried as a gourd.
