This wax comes in flakes making it very easy to work with. Melted this wax on the stove in a metal pouring container and it holds candle wax coloring very well. Gives a nice clean burn (I used a glass container) and the wax stays intact when I added fragrance at 10%. The candle surface looks a little rough after cooling but you can use a heat gun or butane lighter to smooth the surface out. Considering I've seen soy wax for over $20 at a chain craft store, NG's is a bargain!

Soy wax (actually partially hydrogenated soybean oil) is an excellent alternative to paraffin for cleaning brushes for several reasons. Soy beans are a renewable resource, unlike paraffin, which is a petroleum product. Soy wax is non-toxic, burns cleaner than paraffin, and is naturally biodegradable. Soy wax is also easier to remove than paraffin wax, so after the color has been cleaned out of the brush, the brush can be washed with soap and water and is reusable in other mediums.

We sell by the pound primarily for you to use as a sample. Wax purchased this way will always be more expensive than purchasing by the 50 pound case because of us having to weigh and bag each order, but it allows you to buy in small quantities for testing or small batches.

Description Votive Soy Wax- 100% soy votive wax with good scent throw and positive color stabilization. The melt point is around 135F and the specialty blend is designed to release from the walls of votive molds. When used properly, this is a single pour wax that will retain 5-6% fragrance loading. It comes in a flake form which makes it easy to use and measure. Tip: Make sure your candle molds are above room temperature before pouring hot wax into them.
