World record! The Addict frame tips the scales at just 790 grams, thanks to the IMP technology, the use of high-quality HMX NET carbon fibres, the filigree worked carbon cable stoppers, the carbon dropout system (SCDS) and the carbon derailleur holder. It is this attention to detail that makes the Addict frame the lightest in the world. A key component of the frame is also the Addict carbon fork with carbon fork shaft, giving a total weight of 330 grams, including the integrated IMPTM technology...

The 2009 Scott Speedster series gets a shapely new hydro-formed 7005 butted alloy frameset sure to standout on the Sunday ride. Weighing a scant 2.62 lbs, the Speedster frame is lighter than many competitors high end offerings. Utilizing CR1 geometry, Addict carbon/alloy forks and quality components ensure maximum ride quality and long term durability in an economical package.

Scott CR1 Pro - 2009 Road Bikes :: all3sports :: Mens & Womens Road Bikes & Bike Frames
The CR1 line reflects Scotts leadership in carbon fiber bicycle construction as it is the model in which the revolutionary CR1 process was born. Many first rankings in magazine tests prove that this is he benchmark by which all carbon bikes are measured: the CR1 set the standard in high-performance composite road bikes using HMF (High Modulus Fiber) to produce an extremely light (990 grams) and laterally stiff fuselage. The SDS (Shock Dampening System) and CR1 fork provide a smooth, comfortable...

Towards the end of 2005, legendary track cycling coach Eddie B contacted Cervélo to build some frames for the Polish Track Team. Initially hesitant because of a lack of time, Cervélo eventually agreed to start a project with Eddie B to design and build the best track frames in the world. Throughout this years track season, Team Poland has used prototype P3C Track frames for their races, winning a World Cup and scoring a Silver Medal at the World Championships. Now, the P3C Track is ready for the...

Tour-winning bike would be an easy way to get your attention (and I guess we just did), but thats not so relevant. What is relevant is that the rider, Carlos Sastre, cant imagine riding anything else. And that the worlds toughest magazine test from TOUR in Germany clearly show the Cervelo R3 SL to be the best combination of stiffness, low weight and comfort.
The Cervelo S3 is the next step forward from the SLC-SL, incorporating innovations from the R series of bikes as well as our TT line-up. With its improved aerodynamics, improved compliance and ride comfort, and improved cable routing for smoother shifting, the S3 gives Cervélo riders an edge.
How did Cervélo achieve this? By tossing out preconceived notions about bicycle design and starting from scratch. With a new, in-house developed construction method, purpose-driven tube shapes and new lay-up designs, the R3 achieved what would seem impossible: extremely light weight + outstanding stiffness, yet comfortable and strong to withstand the age-old cobbles at 50 kph. This claim does not come from some biased internal test. These tests were performed and published in independent magazine...

The bike industry loves to talk about features (tube shapes, materials, etc). But a feature is useless without a benefit! Ask yourself, would you prefer a poorly engineered frame made of Ultra High Modulus carbon (a feature)? Or an intelligently engineered frame that uses the material to create something lighter, stiffer and stronger (real benefits)? Even more than benefits, you want experiences. The aforementioned lightness & stiffness may be benefits, but what you really want is the experience...

The price for the SLC-SL frameset is significantly higher than the regular Soloist Carbon. Is it worth the additional investment to save 200g? There is no doubt the best value is the regular Soloist Carbon, because as mentioned before, the 200g will not make much of a difference in performance. But if the ultimate is what you are looking for, the only way to get it is through the extremely high costs of making a frame that is superlight while aero and incredibly strong. Because Cervélo will not sacrifice...
