Sauvignon Blanc 2007 Thea, Dry Creek Valley
Wine making veteran Bill Knuttel brings his considerable expertise, from years as winemaker at Chalk Hill and Dry Creek Vineyards, to this collaboration that makes only one wine; single vineyard Sauvignon Blanc. Organic farming methods and a unique micro-climate within Dry Creek Valley brought beautifully ripe, balanced grapes. Fermentation in stainless steel retains the freshness and 8 months of aging in tank round out the flavors and bring a rich mouthfeel to this tasty Sauv. Blanc that shows ripe...

This is a fresh, crisp wine with flavors of grapefruit, pear and tropical fruit. It's well-balanced and extremely refreshing -- the perfect wine for a fall day. Have a glass as an aperitif, or enjoy it with all kinds of lighter food: salads, fish, shellfish, chilled pasta salad.

Biodynamic agiculture is the oldest consciously organic approach to farming and gardening and is one of the most sustainable in existence. It is founded on a holistic and spiritual understanding of nature and the human being and builds on the pioneering research work of Rudolf Steiner, an Austrian philosopher, scientist and social reformer who sought to extend scientifin research beyond the existing parameters of natural science and investigate the non-physical, spiritual realities of life.

- Sauvignon Blanc 34 As the backbone of the delicious Loire Valley wines like Sancerre and Pouilly Fume, Sauvignon Blanc remains a very popular varietal, but is has not seen expansive new plantings in California like Chardonnay. The reality is that in most California viticultural areas, planting Merlot or Cabernet will return more money to the grower. However, there are still some excellent Sauvignon Blanc plots in the golden state, and we're happy that the great Sauvignon Blanc vineyards in California...

Signature bright aromatics, supple fruit, soft mouth feel, and racy acidity. The difference is in the texture and exotic fruit component of this vintage. The 2007 Sauvignon Blanc contains nearly 30 percent of the Musque clone of Sauvignon Blanc from Grandma’s block. This clone is believed to be a hybrid of Sauvignon Blanc and Muscat. Some believe that many of the famous Sauternes wines are derived from this particular clone. The Musque clone produces wines with amazing mouth feel and complex fruit...

This small production gem is something special... a crisp, food-friendly white with sharp acidity and minerality. This sauvignon blanc is a powerful expression of what this grape can accomplish in the Dry Creek Valley area, an AVA that is perfect for sauvignon blanc production. Crafted entirely in stainless steel with five months on the lees, the wine is well balanced and very focused. Aromas of lemon curd and tropical fruit lead into citrus-driven flavors of grapefruit, fig and green apple, with...

The grapes for this luscious wine come from fig tree vineyard where a majestic 130-year old Black Mission fig tree stands amongst the vines. The vineyard became certified 100% organic and Biodynamic in 2005. Located at the confluence of Dry Creek and Wine Creek on our estate, the soil has an extensive gravel layer due to its proximity to the creeks, creating a well drained site and yielding grapes with unique flavor. This very special wine composed of 85% Sauvignon Blanc and15% Semillon grapes features...

The family vineyards are Ed Sbragia’s father’s legacy and he gets so much joy from crafting wines from their Home Ranch. They had such a great reaction to the inaugural 2006 Sauvignon Blanc and the innovative closure, that he is thrilled to see this wine become a standard in their line-up. This wine has wonderful pineapple, citrus, green apple and pear aromas and flavors with hints of honeysuckle, citrus peel and spice that lead to a long, tangy finish. This wine screams Sauvignon Blanc and is...

Crisp like a Grüner, but heavier in structure, like a Mâconnais Chardonnay. Fruits highlight the landscape of this wine, which shows green apple, peach and tangerine with hints of ruby red grapefruit rind and stones. Well balanced and lovely.

2008 Dry Creek Valley Sauvignon Blanc -California Wine
The 2008 Sauvignon Blanc is a slightly bigger style for us, but it is a tremendous bottle of wine. There are plenty of inviting aromas --like sweet honeysuckle-- when you open the bottle. We taste ripe peach and light citrus flavors. With the ripeness, the wine has a richness that gives it a great mouth-feel, but there is plenty of acidity to pair with foods. Try it with a Spinach and grilled chicken salad, or lemon-cream shrimp pasta.
