While the unit itself is compact, its industrial design isn't quite what I would expect from SanDisk. The unit is plastic and will put up with some punishment, but it just doesn't feel and sound like quality design. And it comes with a stand that is NOT usable at all. Inserting or removing a memory card will cause the stand to move, or the reader to come detatched from the stand. The stand has found its way to the garbage, and I just leave the reader connected via its mini-USB cable in a cubbyhole...
