Grape Varietal: This wine is made from 100% Vernaccia di San Gimignano grapes, expertly selected from within the restricted Vernaccia cultivation zone in the administrative district of San Gimignano.

This wine has an intense and refined bouquet with subtle herbal notes melting into restrained fruit aromas. Dry and surprisingly rich on the palate with flavors of melon, dried apricot, grapefruit and a touch of bitter almond, characteristic of the Vernaccia grape, on the finish.

Medium crimson to cranberry appearance with slight unfiltered haze. Raspberry, cherry, Belgian milk chocolate, Madagascar vanilla and hints of nutmeg combine to make a pleasing aroma. Ripe and sweet-tart around the edges, dry on the tongue with youthful mild tannins. Chocolate covered raspberry and cherry flavors finish firmly with a hint of pepper, not to mention a real "kick". This red is on the money and is arguably more effective than a box of Godiva chocolates at 1/3 the price. $12.99
