Rioja Bordon 2005 Crianza
From a winery with a history going back 100 years comes an extremely delicious and quite modern style Rioja. This Crianza from the Bodegas Franco Espanolas is a blend of 80% Tempranillo and 20% Garnacha with rich flavors and a compelling spiciness. The grapes are fermented in traditional wooden vats and the must stirred to bring out color and intensity. The fermented wine is then aged for 18 months in New American white oak barrels and then an additional 6 months in bottle as required by D.O. guidelines...

Bright ruby red color. Lively bouquet with notes of red fruit that add a pleasant freshness softened by a discreet touch of vanilla. Deliciously full in the mouth where well integrated, silky tannins highlight the wines fruit. Good length in which the complexity of flavors come through delicately.
