This 12" Solid turned-aluminum mandrel measures size 1 to 15 by quarter size in U.S. standards. It features a metal loop at one end for hanging. There should be no problem using this for metal clay as long as you use a strip of teflon or freezer paper under the metal clay. Metal clay should not touch the mandrel otherwise until it has been fired.

I'm sorry but, due to sizing issues (see below) and limited studio time, currently, I cannot take custom orders. I hope to someday!. All rings are properly kiln-annealed for strength. All rings will have traces of "bead release" inside the band; bead release is a special clay mixture that's used to prevent the glass from sticking to the metal mandrel when I'm making the ring. I scrub off as much clay as I can, but it leaves behind a slight trace that gives the glass a somewhat frosted look on the...
