The Richland Chardonnay shows what can be gained from this approach: a refreshing interplay of fruit aromas – pear, mango, white peach and a dash of lemon – with just a hint of vanilla and white chocolate from the wood. It’s full-bodied and firm, but carries itself gracefully.

Semillon is Australia’s special white grape. Originally from Bordeaux, it goes into sweet wines like Sauternes, however Australia is one of the few places that also makes world-class dry wines. Snowy River uses this special grape in a blend so the grassy, honey and beeswax aromas mesh together with Chardonnay’s pear and peach notes. Medium-bodied, it’s got a smooth mouthfeel, but still has a refreshing and crisp finish. This is a nice change to serve at a party.
