This color lithograph by Rick Herter was commissioned by Rolls Royce for a Delta Museum fundraiser of 250 limited edition prints and features a Delta Lockheed L-1011 with the text, "End of an Era." It commemorates Delta's retirement of its last L-1011 from service on July 31, 2001. The original painting is currently displayed in Delta's Technical Operations Center. 25 in. x 16 in.

This piece is signed by the artist in pencil, lower right. Printed by Kyron, Mexico and published by Brewster Editions, NY. Internationally acclaimed sculptor and printmaker Francisco Zuñiga was born in Costa Rica. He studied drawing, stone sculpture, and engraving at the School of Fine Arts in San Jose. Later, in 1936, he studied stone carving at La Esmeralda in Mexico City. He was appointed to the faculty of La Esmeralda where he remained until his retirement in 1970. Zuniga's art reflects a love and respect for the people of Central America and their traditions. In 1972, he created his first lithograph. As a complement to his emotionally powerful sculpture, Zuniga's prints articulate the sensitivity and sensuality of the human figure.
