Recycled silk yarn is made from waste-silk thrums -- the fringes of warp yarn left on a loom after the fabric is cut off. These waste scraps of sari fabric are then handspun into skeins of yarn in colors resembling explosions of tropical fruit.

Burgundy shows up in this scarf quite often. It is woven with what is called tan chenille but I would call more dusty silver. I don't see tan in this color at all. I have striped it across in turquoise using baby Alpaca.
