The Orange Muscat grape gives Essensia its aroma and flavor, reminiscent of a light Grand Marnier, Fermentation was arrested with neutral grape brandy and the wine was aged 3 months in French oak. It has flavors of orange blossom and apricot, and a light refreshing aftertaste; this is dessert in a glass or the perfect accompaniment to one.

Produced from 100% Black Muscat, a variety with an exotic rose-like scent. The aromas are of roses and the flavors are a combination of lichees and berries. This is a wonderful, rich tasting wine, smooth and luscious. This is our favorite to accompany a dark bitter sweet chocolate torte; it is also great poured over vanilla ice-cream or served with blue cheese, and makes a great purple martini.

The Black Muscat grape variety (also called Muscat Hamburg) has varietal character like luchee fruit with a rose component. Just smelling and tasting this wine makes one think of dessert. Elysium is a heavenly wine to enjoy with chocolate but also complements many other desserts and cheeses, especially blue cheeses such as gorgonzola. Elysium served with gorgonzola and ripe pears is an especially good combination. Pouring Elysium over vanilla ice cream results in a truly sybaritic Elysium Sundae...

It was suggested by my doctor to drink a glass of red wine ever day. My knowledge of wines are very minimal, so I have relied on a wonderful local wine shop nearby and they have been helpful in my wine selections. I seem to enjoy wines that are a blend with other wines. I guess because I do not care for extremely dry nor overly sweet wines. A friend suggested that I try Elysium for it's level of sweetness. I found that this wine is very sweet and is not a wine to be served daily. If you want an after...
