I'm not very big into the gladiator sandals that seem to be popular right now, mainly because I don't like straps around my heel, so these are a great compromise. They have the look of a gladiator without the heel strap. Super comfortable too. Even though they are a medium width, they will stretch for those who are slightly wider. My mother has a pair and she is a wide foot, and they fit her just as well as they fit my medium width foot. Great for walking too, haven't found any place that rubs...
