Tempting as it may be, don't read the dropping of the exclamation point from Panic at the Disco's name as a sign that the emo quartet is in a rush to be taken seriously. Don't even take their blatant aping of Sgt. Pepper's on Pretty. Odd as indication that Panic at the Disco wants to be taken seriously. There doesn't seem to be a serious bone within the bodies of any of the four members, but the wondrous thing about Pretty. Odd is that it's impossible to discern what silliness is intentional and...

The drowsy, lovely "Northern Downpour" and the music hall send-up (complete with added vinyl crackle), "I Have Friends in Holy Spaces," suggest the band has also been listening to the Beatles' WHITE ALBUM. But although PRETTY. ODD. is indebted to the Fab Four, it also has a contemporary feel, and no shortage of guitar...

Panic At The Disco: Live in Chicago CD/DVD Set, CDs New Arrivals , MTV Shop
Don't panic... but things really are shaping up to be pretty odd for this Las Vegas based foursome. Panic At The Disco's highly anticipated sophomore album debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 chart back in March and things have shown no sign of slowing down for the band. 'Nine In The Afternoon' and 'That Green Gentleman (Things Have Changed)' proved to be follow-up hits to the band's platinum-selling debut despite being a departure from their previous sound. Filmed at the Chicago stop on the Honda...
