Potter's Hill Chardonnay 2007
Chardonnays often fall into extremes, either rich and buttery or light and crisp. Finding a balance between the two means a lot of work for the winemaker, but the Potter’s Hill shows why it’s worth the pay-off. Medium-bodied, it offers some fruity notes of pear and fig alongside touches of honey, toast and almond. It’s refreshing, but not lightweight when it comes to flavor and body.

Rodney Strong Chalk Hill Chardonnay 2007
Barrel fermentation in new and seasoned French oak added toasty vanilla and spice complexities, and during 9 months of barrel ageing, we regularly stirred the “lees” in barrel, which gives a certain fullness and creamy texture on the palate. Encouraging malolactic fermentation added additional character, and in the glass the wine is both creamy and crisp, with abundant fruit character, mineral, and toasty oak flavors.

Hayman & Hill Chardonnay 2007
"Stainless steel fermented for freshness (with only a small component barrel fermented) and then aged in small French oak for eight months for complexity and softness. Subtle amounts of ML help give this wine great body and structure.

Fragrant tropical aromas of fresh pineapple and coconut wrap around layers of fresh apricot and vanilla with a touch of crme brulee. Tantalizing flavors of Pippin apples and white pear fill your mouth on your very first sip. Bosc pears and lemon zest round out the subtle taste of this well balanced, medium-bodied Chardonnay.

Aromas are concentrated and complex – white flower, sweet cream, ripe peach, lemon oil and wet stone – leading to a palate anchored with rich minerality and tropical and stone fruit. A clean acidity and mouth-filling texture unite pear, pineapple and sweet orange fruit with subtly sweet brown spice and honeyed toast. This wine’s balanced and structured palate and bright fruit indicate its ageworthiness; it can be cellared and enjoyed for at least five to seven years.
