Pheasant Tail Nymph, Bead Head - Fly
This American version of the classic British Bead Head Pheasant Tail mayfly nymph continues to catch fish wherever slender mayflies are found. The peacock thorax on this nymph also gives it a bit of irridescent flash that makes it an effective attractor fly and a great searching pattern. This fly has caught more fish than perhaps any other nymph in the history of fly fishing.

The Pheasant Tail Nymph is one of our more productive nymph patterns. The beaded version goes deeper, and also attracts more trout due to the copper bead. Use it to match most Mayfly hatches, and any other time you need to go deep.

One of the top five trout nymphs ever tied on a tippet. A near perfect imitation of the blue wing olive nymph, also works great for a general mayfly nymph attractor. Great sink rate, classic silohuette, and that peacock thorax, one of the best materials ever wrapped on a hook,. The beadhead allows the nymph to sink quickly, 'swim' attractively, and appears to be a tiny bubble many nymphs rise on. A must have for any trout angler.
