Oakville, CA; Robert Parker rated 94 points! The 2003 Proprietary Red (86.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec, aged in 100% new Taransaud barrels) is a killer. Deep ruby/purple-colored, with a big, smoky, fragrant nose of creme de cassis, smoked meats, plum, and licorice, it boasts great intensity, rich, full-bodied, powerful flavors, decent acidity, moderate tannin, and tremendous persistence. It has put on weight since I tasted it last year out of barrel, and should drink well for 15 or more years. Sorry no discounts on this wine!

The 2005 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast (1,100 cases) exhibits wonderful tropical fruit notes interwoven with pineapple, buttered citrus, and leesy, brioche-like characteristics. This complex effort is capable of lasting for 7-8 years. Most of the fruit for this cuvee comes from an old Wente clone planted in the Ritchie Vineyard. Sorry no discounts on this wine!

Ever since Demi Moore tried to seduce Michael Douglas in the blockbuster movie "Disclosure," Pahlmeyer’s Chardonnay has been a hot ticket. What might get lost in the glare of Hollywood is that the wine is superb. The 2006 Chardonnay (3,000 cases) is just as good. Another knockout from Pahlmeyer, this 2007 Chard was the "Best of Tasting" in the Wall Street Journal. They compared high end Chardonnays and Pahlmeyer topped the list. Rated Delicious , the review said "What California Chardonnay can be, with ripe, rich fruit held in such control it seems to vibrate.
