Gorgeously pure, opulently full-bodied, with sweet tannins, superb concentration, and a low acid, ripe, tannic finish, it tastes like a top-notch vintage of ripe Bordeaux, but made in California. It can be drunk now and over the next 20-25 years.

I just returned today from a trip to Napa, where I tasted this incredible wine and it is such a pleasure drinking this that I had to purchase a bottle. With a fine and elegant finish this wine is simple but complexe at the same time. With aromas of vanilla, cassis, black cherry, and ripe red berry fruits, I recommend this bottle to anyone. It is surprising how the tannins are young but mellow. Now seeing this review, I understand why they scored it at 99!! Derek.
