Ong-Bak - The Thai Warrior (Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook) / The Protector (2 Pack)

|
Ong-Bak Muay Thai Warrior is pure, grade-A corny fun. Strictly following the martial arts film playbook, director Prachya Pinkaew uses a paper-thin, utterly predictable plot to set up a string of fights and chase scenes designed to show off the considerable talents of his energetic star, Tony Jaa. These include a footrace through the streets of Bangkok during which he leaps over cars, slips between two planes of glass, and dives through a coil of barbed wire two guys just happen to be loading onto...

Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior
Exhilarating actioner has the most exciting fight scenes since Jackie Chan's The Legend of Drunken Master . The martial art here is Muay Thai — a style of combat whose practitioners make lethal use of elbows and knees, giving the brutality a unique feel. Jaa plays an expert in the style, who has no desire to ever use it; however, when the sacred head of his small village's Buddha is stolen, Jaa is forced to fight to get it back. Certainly an unusual (and distinctly Thai) premise, but really...

This movie ROCKS!!!! Ja is a damn good fighter. One of the cool scenes was the tuk-tuk chase... It was the most hilarious thing ever. If you have ever been in one, and seeing it being used in a chasing scene, you'll understand what I mean.
