November 18, 2002: I absolutely love the Mr. Putter series, as does my young reader. This book, as well as the others in the series, gives both parent and child such a fun experience that you don't even realize the wonderful themes underlying the books (developing respect for the elderly, and, in this book, subtly examining addiction in the guise of Tabby, Mr. Putter's cat, and her "fish problem"). There are actual laugh-out-loud funny moments in all of these books that I cherish with...
