Medjool Dates are large and soft. Sometimes called "the perfect date", they keep very well frozen. They can be stuffed with nuts, cream cheese, peanut butter, or dipped in chocolate to make beautiful gifts.

Dates (Phoenix Dacrylifera) have long been a common food item in the Middle East, where they originated as a cultivated crop over 5000 years ago. Today dates are also grown in the U.S.; they were introduced to California by Spanish missionaries in the 1700's. Dates contain no cholesterol and they are a good source of fiber. Our Dates are jumbo size Dates, there are 16-19 Dates per pound. The usual availability of jumbo Dates is September-January. No sulfites. Medjool Dates are Sun dried.
