I purchased this in Nov'91, when it was first introduced in the USA. It was very controversial back then. Actually, when used in moderation, it is a smooth, comfy fragrance. I am going to buy it again because I have tired of todays "modern" scents for men. They all smell the same. Joop stands out from all of the rest!

I believe it smells different on every man because I have been wearing it for many years and have had an overwhelming number of women (and even a couple of dudes) ask me what it is i'm wearing for cologn...and when I tell the women what it is alot of them have said: "well, my husband has some and it doesn't smell the same on him" and it's usually followed by a request for me to stick around so they can keep smelling me...it has been VERY good to me if you know what I mean.
