Madrigal's Magic Key to Spanish, Margarita Madrigal
September 20, 2007: This book is well-organized and clear enough to make learning Spanish on your own a lot of fun. For starters, the book provides an introduction to Spanish grammar, followed by verb lists, exercises on forming sentences, and exercises on translation. I would recommend it to both beginners and to Spanish speakers looking for a refresher course or reference material. The author focuses quite a bit on cognates - the words that are similar in both Spanish and English...

"Maddie" is a sweet, people-oriented, Black and White Tovero filly (one blue eye), born May 2005. She has a very nice hip, and moves out nicely. She loves to jump natural obstacles in the pasture! Her sire is 16.1 and has sired a first premium warmblood foal. "Maddie" is handled regularly and will start her ground work as soon as the weather breaks. She is UTD on shots, deworming, and feet. She is ready to go any direction you want!Check out more pics of Maddie, as well as her sire and dam, on our...

Madrigal Madness - SATB
We might have called this piece: "Greatest Hits of the Sixteenth Century!" It's every madrigal you can think of (plus a few you can't) cleverly woven into a tight, fun to sing medley. Each madrigal deftly gives way to another, sometimes in catch form (in which the text of one madrigal leads into the next). Listen carefully, or you might miss the "catch." Perform a cappella or with the optional keyboard accompaniment.

Three Madrigals: II. Entfernung

Springtime (fr. 12 Madrigals)

This merry madrigal will be a nice addition to your 3-part choir's a cappella seasonal repertoire. Characteristic counterpoint makes this original Donald Moore piece a familiar form but, unlike many Renaissance chorals, the vocal ranges, subject matter, and number of voice parts have been specifically designed for developing choirs. A festive feature for holiday concerts and Madrigal feasts, with just enough optional bass notes in the 3-part mixed/SAB for your developing men's section.

Lappi is so named because its recipe was developed in the Lapland region of Finland. It is similar to swiss cheese, but with smaller holes and a slightly firmer texture. It is also less nutty and sweeter than your average swiss cheese. Lappi is a favorite among children because of its mild nature and sweet taste. It is a classic melting cheese and can be substituted into your favorite Fondue recipe.Made from pasteurized cow's milk. Photo depicts whole 6 lb. form of cheese. We cut and wrap this item...

This trio of fresh, new, madrigals from Jay Althouse is a valuable addition to the choral repertoire of 3-part and SSA choirs. And at $1.75, it's quite a value. The first is in a traditional madrigal style, with a "fa la la" section and features and echo chorus. The second is lush and lovely, homophonic in nature, with a thought-provoking text. The third is up-tempo and includes an optional hand drum: it could be used as a processional or at a madrigal dinner. Use any or all of the three for concerts...

Vijay gives us two madrigals here - "Let All Who Sing Be Merry" with music by Orazio Vecchi and "Feet Are Nimbly Springing" with a melody by Giovanni Gastoldi. Both are light-hearted "fa la la" madrigals with great performance notes at the beginning.
