wonderful trees. beautiful shape. indeed fastgrowing! ( much more so when grown on the south side of our house. the one grown on the northside of our house has lagged in growth compared-- but not dissappointingly so.) the southside tree is providing summer shade already and has cooled the room that otherwise was so hot in the summer. thank you for a beautiful and functional tree that was quite affordable. These California trees look great.

I have had no formal art training and started out as a potter. Unfortunately I was not able to continue and turned to paints and brushes. I have attended various courses and workshops with artists such as Dale Elliot, Paul Botes and Sue Kemp among others. The Art Society in Sedgefield is very active and I was Chairlady for several years. The Lombardy Poplar is the result of a spontaneous genetic anomaly in a Black Poplar exemplar located in Lombardy (Italy), in the 18th. Century. The branches were then used to propagate the new variety, which in only 200 years became one of the world’s most popular for decoration of the countryside. It exists only as male, so it can not reproduce itself spontaneously.
