LIVE IN BOSTON

This concert by one of the biggest and most audacious rock bands of all time was produced on 24 September 2002 in Boston, USA. The Who have seen their fair share of tumult and tragedy during their career which kicked off 40 years ago in 1964 when Keith Moon joined Daltrey, Townshend and Entwistle and the group renamed itself "The Who". The Boston show featured on the DVD was part of the first tour after bassist John Entwistle's unexpected death. Entwistle suffered a heart attack in a Las Vegas hotel...

1978 Live in Boston (Greatest Hits)

Description 1978 was a rollercoaster year for Southside Johnny the Asbury Jukes: they made the finest album of their career, Hearts of Stone, and saw it released to a fistful of rave reviews, but Epic Records showed little enthusiasm for promoting the record, and by the end of the year the band was looking for a new label. Adding to their troubles, their frequent collaborator Steve Van Zandt had taken a full-time gig with Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band and would no longer be working with them...

stella: live in boston (DVD)

Michael Ian Black, Michael Showalter, and David Wain are STELLA, an off-kilter, rabidly loved sketch-comedy team. Though they are best known for their (woefully short-lived) Comedy Central show and addictive Web shorts, the STELLA fellows shine even brighter when they?re on an actual stage; this hilarious concert release, recorded live in Boston, proves the point.

Live In Boston 1970 [Blister]

Several 1970 Doors concerts were officially recorded for use on the Absolutely Live album, including both of the shows they gave in Boston on April 10 of that year. This three-CD set has the early and late sets from Boston in their entirety, adding up to about three hours of music, all but two of the tracks previously unreleased. Well, three hours of mostly music, it should be clarified; it's padded by a whole lot of Jim Morrison raps and crowd reaction, to the point where it starts to seem like...

Live In Boston [Digipak]

Aided by a coterie of back-up musicians and featuring the rock-solid rhythm section of John McVie and Mick Fleetwood, the Mac once again proves it can shake the loss of yet another important member. The audio portion naturally consists of the band's biggest hits, which come across vibrantly. Buckingham's guitar playing finds this underrated maestro in impressive form, whether he's rocking out on "Eyes of the World" or nimbly picking his way through "Big Love." Buckingham's former paramour Nicks also...

Live in Boston Vol. 2 [Digipak]

Perhaps the definitive live document of the original Fleetwood Mac, LIVE AT THE BOSTON TEA PARTY was recorded at a crucial point in the band's history. By 1970, Fleetwood Mac (the blues-based, Peter Green-led version, not the later pop aggregation) had achieved fame both in their native U.K. and in the U.S., and their pioneering blues-rock was beginning to be influenced by American groups like the Grateful Dead (as evidenced by the extended jams on BOSTON TEA PARTY). They were also about to fall...

Live in Boston July 1977

These recordings, (the CD and video) were made a couple of months before Buddy did the Live at the International Steel Guitar Convention albums. You can tell he was still working out some of the arrangements. They are similar to the albums, but still different. The back up band is made up of some fine jazz musicians, so they really kick on the bebop tunes. You can tell that Buddy was having a good time.
