It ran fast and quiet played and read 2 hard to play discs I used to test and burnt backups of scratchy discs which gave the built in trouble. So far , so good. I will review again later as time does its thing. But this is off to a very good start right out of the box (or from the distribution center) Cons: Not much of a con but it seems the one button options are linked with complete installation of NERO8. Lite-On products have never failed to work as designed, and with there entry prices , are worth every cent paid. Cons: I did not receive the software suite with the unit or the SATA cable. I contacted Newegg and they sent the disc, but did not get the cable (bummer). I had several extra's laying around so installation was easy.
