Typically, you use a remote transformer when a cleaner installation appearance is desired. A remote transformer must be installed in an accessible remote location. The bulkier ceiling mounted surface transformer housing appearance is simply replaced by a remote canopy flat plate and flexible coaxial power feed cable.

There was no instructions about tightening a little screw at the very bottom of the support to make contact with the railing. It took many phone calls and a lot of frustration to accidently see this screw and try tightening it.
